I am a self-taught stone sculptor with a background as a peace scholar and journalist. Through my sculptures, I want to continue to explore and tell about the times we live in and the conflicts that we as humans constantly live through, both within and outside ourselves.
The Öland limestone has long been rejected by sculptors for its fragility, but I see it as if its many layers, fossils and color shifts invite a co-creation with the stone, for those who take the time to listen and get to know the stone. With a loving hand, I peel off layer after layer and together with the stone, the sculpture takes shape.
During the autumn of 2024, a longing grew to also show my artworks more publicly and in the spring of 2025, two of my hand-carved sculptures in Öland limestone were accepted to Liljevalch's spring salon.
