They went to Öland – fifty-five painters from two centuries
Art on Öland – a uniquely rich history. Groupings and solitaires. Big names who have worked on the island for shorter or longer periods: Vera Nilsson, Nils Kreuger, Arvid Fougstedt, Lotte Laserstein, Per Lindekrantz, Arthur Percy, Margareta Linton and many others.
The exhibition in the Kamerala villa in Mörbylånga shows one work each by fifty-five Öland painters. The artists are described with short texts next to the works and in the exhibition catalogue. Everything is a collaboration between Kalmar Art Museum, Mörbylånga Municipality and the Per Ekström Society.
