Öland's elongated shape offers two stretches of coastline with different characteristics, namely Kalmarsund and the Baltic Sea, both of which consist of fine sandy beaches! If you don't attract sand between your toes, there are also stone slabs, cold bathhouses and grassy beaches! On Öland there is also a water park that opens up for a water adventure with pools, slides and play for the whole family! If you prefer water adventures, there are a lot of water sports on offer, choose from everything from water scouts to kayaking, you choose!

Do you prefer to be more active on the beach as well? From north to south, a variety of opportunities for water sports are offered. Haga Park is a very popular destination for surfers and here is the opportunity for both professionals and beginners to meet in a common interest in wind and water. At several places along the island you can rent canoes, kayaks and SUP boards, and here and there also jet skis.

On Öland, the wind is not a weather – it is a lifestyle. Here, sky and sea meet in open horizons that create perfect conditions for both windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Haga Park is an obvious gathering place where beginners take their first cuts and experienced surfers chase the next perfect wind. The shallow beaches and the unobstructed location to the sea make the island one of Europe's most talked about surfing spots.
