Ribe's leather
Leather products that are manufactured in Ribe's leather workshop on Öland.
We at Ribes are proud of our roots and the history that the company has built up over the years. It all started in 1976 in Gislaved by my parents Bengt and Ulla-Britt Ripheden. The company then moved to Öland in 1977 and expanded in 1982, which resulted in a move to Karlevi on southern Öland. Production continued there until 2008, when the company underwent a generational change and I, Annette Ripheden, took over responsibility for the operation.
As a family business, Ribes has always been characterized by a love of craftsmanship and a desire to offer quality products to our customers. Our products are mainly made of Swedish leather from Tärnsjö Tannery, one of the few tanneries in the world that uses a vegetable tanning with bark.
