Mörbylånga

Mörbylånga

Mörbylånga as a market town has existed for a hundred years and has recently celebrated this anniversary. The urban area close to the harbour offers an exciting history and the village centre is small but delicious.

The local business community gives life to the market and in the harbor there is a hotel and restaurant. Services such as school, pharmacy and grocery store are close to the small square and wooden houses from the last century coexist with 50s architecture. Agriculture is the dominant industry on southern Öland and Mörbylångadalen is the hub of the World Heritage Site southern Öland's agricultural landscape. Café, gallery and second hand are centrally located, but in the area around Mörbylånga there is much to discover in the form of local crafts, farm shops and cultural history. Coming to Mörbylånga is a bit like traveling back in time and the pace is pleasantly calm. The fertile landscape offers wide views and farm animals can be seen grazing here and there. You have simply come out into the countryside.
