Monica Alskans moved to Öland in December 2024, growing up in the countryside of Östergötland and the innermost forests of Småland and the motifs of the countryside have always interested her.
"For me, the expression of a cow in the eyes and the reflections of shadows and light in its physiognomy are just as important to portray as phenomena, phenomena and people's communication with the outside world. I hope to be able to contribute with new perspectives on this painted island."
