Halltorp's garden
One of the most well-known nature reserves on Öland is Halltorps hage. Halltorps hage has one of the highest concentrations of red-listed species in Sweden. It is mainly all rare fungi and insects that have contributed to this. Marked hiking trails also make the area easy to visit.
Halltorp Nature Reserve has one of Northern Europe's most valuable deciduous forests and the area is among the country's most species-rich. The old, coarse oaks in the reserve are the habitat for our three largest beetles; the great oak beetle, the oak beetle and the leather beetle.
In the reserve, orchid species such as:
Keys of St. Peter, V. 18-26
Forest keys w. 23-28
Please note that the weeks are when the orchids usually bloom. Deviations may occur.
