Elaine started drawing at a very young age. She taught herself to draw portraits by analyzing the people around her, mostly while traveling to work on buses and via the subway. Elaine studied croquis and sculpture at the University of Gothenburg for adults in 1997. Being able to study different styles online has inspired Elaine to be more daring with colors, shapes and ideas in some of her work. Elaine was born in Canada but married to a Swedish man. Elaine has lived half her life here in Sweden and the other half over there in Canada.
