Böda Forest Railway
Near the northernmost tip of Öland, there is Öland's only opportunity to travel by train on rails. From Fagerör, the train departs and takes you to the lovely Troll Forest.
Traffic according to timetable in summer, see website for times. The train is very popular so be there and buy a ticket in Fagerrör 30 minutes before departure.
It is not possible to book a seat on the train.
At other times of the year, chartered traffic with diesel locomotives is possible if no major track work is in progress and with regard to available personnel.
