Bårbykärret covers about 20 hectares of wetland and consists of a mosaic of open water surfaces and overgrown areas. The easiest way to see the marsh is from the bird tower, which you can reach by following the path between the two windmills from the parking pocket on the east side of road 136. From the path, there is a steep path over a deer enclosure to the birch grove. After that, it is about 200 meters of hiking through the grove to the bird tower. The last part is led on wooden footbridges. From the bird tower there is a magnificent view of the marsh, which is best seen in the spring, from April to early June. There is also the opportunity to have a coffee at the tables that are placed at the windmills along road 136.
